When I participated in the 100 days project Scotland and told the story about the things I had gone through and what I learned during the pandemic, I dedicated this illustration to him and to all pets who keep us company and make our days better. It was initially done using just pen and paper, which only gave me one go. Don’t get me wrong it did look good, but once I got my iPad, I decided to do a newer version, add more details and correct some small things, but always keeping the pen a paper feel.Personal project.

WORKING FROM HOME

Illustration part of a series of a 100: created 1 per day for 100 days (3 months). Part of the #100DaysProjectScotland 2021. Full project here.

During the pandemic I experienced a couple of difficulties on top of the global health crisis we all went through: one of them was losing my apartment. I moved in with a couple of friends who had a spare room and stayed there until I could get a new place.

Rumbo, their dog, was a great companion during that difficult time (funny enough his name means Route or Direction in Spanish). I was the only one who could work remotely, so every day I woke up early, went on a walk with him and we had breakfast together while my friends were still asleep. Rumbo would spend the rest of the day cuddling with me or laying by my side while I was on my laptop.
